Abode went more than the extra mile for me. Taking my calls at 8 pm on a Saturday evening for example - They have moved my family home onto a new family. I couldn't have asked for more and I think the difference is that this company is young and hungry and want to SELL your house rather than just sit in an office and be paid regardless of results or effort. Fantastic experience with Abode. From my research, they had the best properties on offer and were very much there to help me throughout the process of searching for my first home. I initially discussed plans with the Uttoxeter branch but eventually found a property within the Ashbourne area, but no issues in the changeover and staff were all very friendly/contactable. Can't fault their service from my experiences and very much pleased with the outcome.

This is an amateur company. Sellers beware! Abode offer bad advice and look after the purchaser rather than the vendor.They are also reducing their staff which is an indication of their gradual demise.Abode sold my house STC without checking the quality of the buyer’s chain. It later surfaced that the bottom of the chain had no finances in place and had not agreed on a purchase price with their seller. Abode continually advised me to wait for the buyer’s chain to repair which required new purchasers within the chain. They also pushed for me to have quotes and small unnecessary jobs to be completed on behalf of the buyer assuring me that the buyer’s chain would be exchanging soon. By month 5, four exchange date promises had failed, so I insisted Abode pull out of the sale and fully remarket my property. A secret shopper revealed that Abode were telling new enquirers that my property was still going through a sale, dissuading prospective purchasers from viewing my property. After six months of promises the chain failed and my buyers informed Abode they were pulling out of the sale. Abode’s failings: They should have checked the quality of the buyer’s chain. They should have fully remarketed my property when instructed. They should not have pushed for unnecessary repairs to be completed on behalf of the buyer when the chain was weak. This whole experience has cost me £1.5k and no sale.

I'm a landlord and recently moved my whole portfolio to this estate agent and couldn't be happier.The transfer went really well and i didn't have to worry about anything, all rent paid ££ and all tenants happy.Got a deal on multiple property so if you have a few ask for a discount, and deal with Sonia or Dom.

We bought our new house through Abode. I was disappointed when it turned out the agent who showed us around didn't tell us about the septic tank or unregistered land in the garden - the seller told us whilst the survey was taking place. He also made up a little story about the owners sitting in the conservatory, looking at the stars, listening to the radio, which again the seller told us her parents had never done that! But what makes this a 5 star review is Michelle in the sales progression team. She was excellent in terms of helping me chase the seller's solicitor as we had quite a few items that were delaying things, and Beighton's were holding things up. She was always cheerful, kept me up to date, and helped me get everything in place so we could complete. My own estate agent (Purple bricks) did nothing so it was great to have Michelle on my side, as there is so much more to being an estate agent than the actual sale!!
