Rachel is an excellent French tutor who runs fun and interesting language tuition classes, and I have learned a lot from her. She is far more than competent, almost 'parfait' , committed passionate and creative, and I have no hesitation in recommending her classes to anyone.

Rachel passion and experience in languages and teaching made my French lessons enjoyable and doable. I started as an absolute beginner and the small interactive class made it fun to learn with games and music. I am definitely going to continue with Rachel and I would certainly recommend for anyone who wants to learn French or Spanish.

I've just completed my first term learning Spanish with Rachel at Bergholt Languages and it has been amazing. The pace of learning is good, it feels challenging but achievable, the homework is helpful, the group are supportive, and it's all round a really great learning environment. I would recommend to anyone keen to learn Spanish or French.

I have been taking Intermediate French with Rachel for several years now and these are by far and away the best French classes I have attended. I am now comfortable engaging in every day conversations in French and have noticed a significant improvement in my comprehension and ability. Rachel makes the sessions fun, varied, topical and relaxed. Her knowledge and approach is fantastic and she takes on board learning preferences and requests to tailor the sessions to our needs. Rachel's passion and love of the French language and culture shine through in her classes. The classes are so fun and relaxed as well as being informative. The class sizes are small and a wide variety of reading materials are used during the classes. Rachel's classes have given me the confidence to travel to France with a greater understanding of the French language and culture. I have been attending Spanish classes, with Rachel, since October 2021. The course, at Berghold Languages, is my first stepping stone towards learning and mastering Spanish.Rachel is a very knowledgeable and creative Spanish tutor, with a unique teaching approach. She wants all students to have fun while learning, which makes her teaching style even more effective.Rachel is a very encouraging and motivating teacher who truly focuses on the strengths and accomplishments of the student.Rachel’s sessions are engaging, challenging, and filed with various activities. Learning materials are also good. Furthermore, she suggests supplementary resources for learning outside the classroom.This course allowed me to develop and learn a lot in such a short period. It also keeps me engaged and motivated to continue with my goal of becoming fluent in Spanish.I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of learning Spanish.

When I began French classes with Rachel to say I was a beginner in French was an understatement. I have since then gained a huge knowledge of the language and this is all down to Rachel’s lessons. They are really well structured and the activities are fun and interesting. It’s a safe place where mistakes can be made and you don’t feel like a fool.
