Not bad. Toilets and showers are not good. No flush toilets. There is a compost toilet.

Wonderful place to stay! The host was very accomidating giving us fresh water, fire wood and emptying the toilet daily. Lovely view and close to attractions. I would recommend bringing some fully charged powerbanks and a torch as the power went off a lot during the night and wasn't strong enough to charge out phones.

We were lucky enough to have one night in the top barn, 2 mums & 4 kids. We had a great time. The place was perfect & quirky. Loved having the outdoor stove & campfire area.Amused at some reviews saying no flush toilet- it's an eco friendly compost loo, it was immaculately clean too.The shower was perfectly adequate but you are in old farm buildings, you don't expect the ritz.Can't wait to come back next year.Only tiny negative & no fault of the site was the chickens from next door, they're a menace! Jumped on the outdoor table while we were eating and had no fear of us. We almost brought a dog but 100% glad we didn't because she'd have been going mad.

An absolutely fabulous place.We really enjoyed our stay, even the wet weather didn't put us off it just means we'll be back when the weather is better for a proper walking break!

Great base. Rustic, but all we needed. Alison the farmer is lovely and very helpful. She sells logs for the campfire. Mattresses are comfy and the place is clean. We are going to go again.

A fantastic place to stay. Close enough to walk into Leek town and also over the hills to the Peak District and The Roaches. Very friendly host.
