Sloe Flower Recording Studio is such a lovely setting and environment for being creative. From the moment we made contact to the end product James is ever the professional with so much knowledge, he is patient, organised and such a lovely person who will put you at ease and make the whole experience fun and productive. From initially Neeve going in with a basic idea, James helped develop this into what it is today a professionally produced track. The whole experience far exceeded our expectations!

I’ve recorded a few times with James at Sloe Flower and I’ve always been really impressed with how the tracks turned out. He has a great ear for music and composition which gets the most out of my songs and adds another level which I’m very grateful for. The environment is relaxed and enjoyable which puts you in a good frame of my mind for sharing ideas and creates a great experience. James is meticulous when it comes to the recording process and doesn’t leave a stone in turned. I would always recommend his studio to anyone and will return myself soon.

James mastered my debut album ‘Songs For You’. James worked tirelessly on the masters and consistently made sure that I was happy with the results. Needless to say, the finished product was excellent and he gave my record a polished and professional feel that was leagues above what I could do at home. This was due to James’ talent, skill and high quality pro-audio equipment. If you’re on the fence about getting your music recorded, mixed and mastered by James, don’t be. I’ve been to Sloe Flower Studio now 3 times where I’ve worked on 6 different songs with James and I really really wouldn’t go anywhere else! Each song always develops into something I wouldn’t of thought they could be with James as he really works so hard on each one and is so creative with it. I always get super exited now taking a song to sloe flower because I know it’s going to be brilliant!The studio it’s self has a lovely homely feel! You immediately feel relaxed and in a safe space, James will also make you allll the coffee and biscuits you could take ❤️I’ve just recorded a 4 track EP with Sloe flower this may and I couldn’t be happier with it! I was nervous about the songs themselves not being good enough and I absolutely love them now. James is really reassuring and really gives you a boost of confidence whilst recording, the instruments and sounds he adds to the songs are incredible, they can be subtle sounds or big beautiful guitar parts and they really give the songs life! We’ve finished the recording, mixing and mastering now and James is still helping with advising me about a release plan and has given me so much help with distributors and playlist algorithms etc. which is completely out or care and kindness!Can’t wait to record again!❤️

James mastered a client of mines EP, I recommended James because of his excellent set of gear and skills. Working with him for this first time was of course a pleasure for both me and my client as expected. Results were ace and James is super easy, professional and a joy to work with.

James was an utmost professional during our day together recording a whole song. He immediately put me at ease and was patient and courteous all day, really encouraging me in the right direction for the best performance possible. The environment is a perfect spot due to lots of natural light, as is the surrounding nature for a really chilled relaxing experience where you feel you can immerse yourself easily in a performance.His gear is unbelievably high end and beautiful sounding, and I have never recorded in a better space or studio and got the results of such a natural, warm and professional recording.His engineering skills linked to mic placement and use of his own technology is second to none, and I went home withwhat I felt was also a lesson in how to record which was invaluable as I also record in a home studio.I couldn’t recommend the experience more, and with such a great value rate, James is at the top of his game.Thanks again!Simon (akrasia_music)

James was very helpful from start to finish of the recording process. He helped bring in musicians that I wouldn't have known to record on my 3 tracks. He helped to bring the style with the reference tracks that I have. He made the recording process very comfortable with very little pressure or anxiety, which helped bring out my best recording performances. I was also to bring in my own opinions and inputs on things. He was quick with sending mixes over ready for mastering. Thank you James!
