Really great taxi company. My partner missed his last train and was stranded after a night out in york. All hotels in the centre were booked up with it being bank hol weekend and another company didn’t have any taxis available until 2am. Straight away fleetways we’re willing to help and do the long drive to drop him back home. The man I spoke to on the phone was really helpful and they picked my partner up from the directions I gave them and dropped him home safely. My partner said his driver was lovely and really sympathetic to his situation. I can’t thank you as a company enough for getting him home safely. Would 100% recommend this company due to their willingness to help out in a bad situation. Thank you again from both of us.

Called today to book a taxi for work on a morning and have an account plan for it and I mentioned my account number to her.Despite that I mentioned my account number, the lady on the phone instantly just said it’s all fully booked and in a tone that wasn’t empathetic.She didn’t feel the need to connect me with anyone to speak to regarding my account that allows me taxi accessibility if it’s been set or any alternatives.Rudely turned me down just because normal taxi’s were full at that time frame and as a person on the autism spectrum, the lack of assurance, empathy or offer to speak to someone else who may be knowledgeable about my account.No, she just left it there and it made me feel like I’m unable to talk about arranging my taxis for accessibility. I’m just upset at how it’s made me feel down and disempowered at ringing a taxi company.Absolutely poor phone service.

Despite having a picture of a wheelchair in the back of an accessible vehicle with ramp on their advertising, I have just been told you cannot pre book them. It seems this is an issue with all cab companies around York they all say they are wheelchair friendly" but beware

This taxi company routinely lies to customers. Whenever a taxi is late and I ring to check on where the taxi is, the operator claims that the taxi is just a few minutes away. Yet when the taxi appears, the driver says that they didn't receive the job until after the time it was due. One driver even said that he was at home and got asked to come out and do a job. If you ring them and they have no valid excuse for being late, they will simply ignore the call.Shocking service.

I had three bad experiences with this company and do not recommend you use them if you need to get somewhere on time. For three weeks in a row, I booked a taxi to take me to York station (a 30 minute journey).Week 1 - taxi is 10 minutes late, receptionist and driver do not apologise at allWeek 2 - taxi is 25 minutes late, receptionist does not apologise and when the driver arrives he says ‘I don’t know why they gave me this job, I was on the other side of York’Week 3 - when the taxi is nowhere to be seen, I call and the receptionist is very rude, she sighs down the phone, does not apologise, says that ‘everything has come to a standstill’ and then hangs up on me, giving no estimated arrival time. I gave up and ordered a taxi from Amber (which arrived in five minutes!).Please, spare yourself this stress if you need to catch a train!

Booked a taxi for 5.25. Phoned 10 mins later. Sorry. Don’t know when we will get to you. Could be up to an hour. Honestly massively disappointed. Had to order an Uber which TBH I’d rather use local.

Absolutely brilliant drivers to and from York community stadium eye clinic very helpful and kind .

What a rude lot of drivers and call handlers. Taxi hid behind some work vehicles where I was waiting. Sped past a few minutes later. Office was just over the road I asked why the driver couldn't park round the corner where they could be seen. They acted stupid. They lost a fare. I hope they lose more fares.

Fantastic service for an airport drop off at Manchester. Very helpful and friendly driver, arrived on time (in fact even better, was a bit early but happy to wait!). Very professional service, fixed fee. Would recommend, much quicker and easier than risking TPE, and a similar price! Thank you

I have used Fleetways for a long time. They always turn up and I have always arrived safely at my destination. The drivers are really friendly. It can be a bit busy on race days so book early.
