Lovely setting - on the University campus. Well-laid out & comfortable with good spacing between tables. Very good menu choice with food being nicely presented & generous in portion sizes. Service was very good. Nothing to find fault with. Excellent value. Highly recommended.

We did Crichton parkrun, then came here as the parkrun volunteers told us there were showers here, and we were travelling on afterwards round Scotland.There were lovely shower rooms here, which were clean and had plenty of space. However it cost £10 for two of us to use the showers. And we bought food there, which seems a bit of a steep price for a shower.The food was great and the price of the food was decent enough. Plenty of seating and toilets were decent. Just a shame they charge so much to use the shower room.

Best cafe I've ever been to, modern, comfortable, nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Fantastic food - really enjoyed my salad bowl in my last visit and my family all had lovely meals too.

Lovely brunch. Staff were great but overwhelmed because there was a wedding party in, making service a bit slow.

I had booked a table and arrived a couple of minutes after 12noon.By almost 12.15 no-one had come for order or to ask if we wanted a drink. The place is well staffed and there was only one couple in having coffee. Staff just seem to stand at the bar and chat.I had to go to the bar and ask if it was still table service.We ordered a bottle of water and a coffee to be served right away and also gave our food order.The drinks arrived just before the food. We were not asked during our meal if all was ok. Nor were we asked when we went to pay the bill.The food, as always, was fab and so filling and reasonably priced which is the only reason I would return as we were not made to feel welcome at all and the atmosphere was not good.Staff apparently need to have more training in customer service as this could be a great place.

Large, light airy space in a lovely setting for a superior soup and sarnie lunch. Very friendly staff and and a pleasure from start to finish.
