The area is lovely and very picturesque. If you have a young family it is a lovely rest bite, as there is two parks for the kids to play at, foot golf, swimming pool or the lake!! Plus they offer a variety of facilities on the water such as paddle boarding. The clubhouse is friendly, with nice food. We had the chicken burger, burgers and roast lamb. All where delicious.Overall, when you compare to other similar venues such as soho farmhouse or daylesford farm, they are both expensive and do not have offer the ability to connect with nature and are double or triple the price!!

A nice relaxing place to come to unwind. Friendly staff always makes you feel welcome. The floating sauna is a must for anyone who visits this amazing place, the view of the lake from the sauna is something spectacular. It has everything for grown ups and children to enjoy with a heated outside swimming pool, tennis courts and children's play area for small and larger kids to enjoy. Highly recommend here for a nice get getaway

The Clubhouse (Formerly known as Fritton Arms)
For those unfamiliar with Fritton Lake and Clubhouse it is a now a private members club with rooms in the Clubhouse that are available to be booked by the public which then gives access to the onsite amenities which include the heated outdoor pool, lake sauna and gym building. This review is based on two adults staying for a Birthday treat and so the activities for young children were not something we can comment on.The Lady Scott is very nicely laid out but at this price point is a bit lacking to make staying in the room the relaxing space it should be.- No robes (Essential really for the walk from the pool to the Sauna)- No Fridge- No ice making- No milkSo just some warm water and black tea or coffee is all that is on offer. Some lovely views out to the fields were rather spoilt by a very uncomfortably placed CCTV dome camera attached to a tree directly outside the window! The enclosed picture was taken from the window of Lady Scott. Very unsettling. The pool and sauna are very welcome and the changing facilities with underfloor heating are of very high quality but the lack of robes is a little off for the walk to Sauna from the Pool.Getting to the Pool was not totally straightforward as the land adjacent to the Pool is a construction site and the normal pathway is closed so you are forced to navigate via the kids play area and then walk along a flower bed next to the Female changing hut to get to the Pool from the Clubhouse. If there was a better route then we were not told about it.The intercom by the Pool doesn’t work as we couldn’t see anyway of lighting the fire down by the Pool so I called the main landline via my mobile to ask for it to be lit. Very nice once we got it lit.The Evening Menu in the Restaurant area was very sparse on options and the only meat option was already off the menu by 1930. Service was lacklustre at best with the staff not really engaged and so we had to ask for water, sauces. The Game burger I ordered was very tasty but the claimed herb fries were just triple cooked. No herb could be detected. Partner said the same.I asked for a drink from the bar but was told by 22:00 that there was no ice! It was then an awkward moment but they agreed to go and get three ice cubes from the cellar. Wow, thanks guys.Breakfast equally poor. My Sausage was missed off my order and so I had a 5 minute wait for that and then a single sausage on a saucer was then brought out to our table. The bacon was poorly cooked and presented and no sauces, water or juices were offered. Just as lacklustre as our evening meal. The overall vibe was ruined by the simply awful and distorted speaker that they play in the corner of the room. How this has not dealt with is beyond me. It was the same situation in early February where the speaker kept cutting out and distorting! Lack of attention to detail is the theme with this experience.Checkout was also problematic. My partner was left in reception for 15 mins waiting to pay and even then, the £25 overcharge was still on our bill, despite this being requested to come off the bill twice. Also be mindful you will have to pay a £250 damage deposit on checking in.Final point would be that the left-hand EV charger port does not work and the right hand socket was in use all day and evening by a Nissan Leaf. This is a nice to have facility but if 50% of the sockets are broken then this just adds to the overall impression of lack of attention to detail, especially at this price point.£350 for an overnight stay, 1 course evening meal and breakfast is top end and you expect top end but you don’t get it.

Had a lovely 1 night stay at The Clubhouse. The facilities, immediate grounds, service and particularly the food are really great. However, the hotel itself lets it down. The rooms are nice but everything was almost working; taps leaking, mismatch paint on walls, broken handles, the most unsanitary carpet I’ve ever seen in a hotel and my first time experiencing a glow in the dark fire alarm mounted right above the bed. Just feels a bit shabby and worn for the price.Additionally, the signposted walk that directs you past the top of the grounds has lots of building equipment and a skip full of rubbish which wasn’t really the nice evening woodland vibe we were going for. Finally, you have to pay £15 each to do the water sport safety / swimming assessment to be able to use the equipment (even though that actually doesn’t seem to be very well monitored). This is because the lake isn’t lifeguarded. I don’t feel that it should be the guests who to front this factor, particularly at a pretty hefty price. Surely £8 or less would be more suitable?

Very peaceful place to come for a morning coffee on a sunny day. We had a latte and a tea. Both were tasty. We sat in the garden where you can see the birds in their nests and birds of prey overhead. It would be even better if there were a slightly better range of cakes. We had a brownie which tasted good however.

Took my Daughter, Wife and Mother-in-law for dinner on mothers day. I have been a few times over the years and it never fails to impress. I believe the service is second to none. Very attentive staff that are personal and will share a genuine smile. They seem to enjoy their job.The food is always of the highest standard. I have to say I was slightly disappointed with my starter (prawns) in my opinion it lacked sauce and therefore flavour but it was mothers day and every restaurant has to design a menu with speed in mind, on one of the busiest days in the restaurant calendar. The main (Lamb) was fantastic and came with perfectly cooked veg, roasted potatoes and really tasty Gravy/Jus.Both my wife and mother-in-law don't really eat red meat and asked if they could change the lamb for chicken. There wasn't a single chicken meal on the menu but to my surprise they never blinked an eye lid and changed the menu to match the customer. Brilliant service. I tried my wives chicken breast and it was moist and delicious.I didn't have a desert but my daughter enjoyed mine. Everyone enjoyed the afternoon and we will be going back
