Amazing place to just chill, climb and then have a good coffee and cake

I had a brilliant time visiting the climbing station for my induction. Emily was really friendly and taught me loads to get started and make the most of the centre. There was a really nice atmosphere and the climbs were really fun and tricky. I can't wait to return!

We brought a group of young people and have really been impressed with the feel/atmosphere. Abi and Phil were our instructors and were encouraging and entertaining.

A very friendly environment, with well trained and knowledgeable staff.We had a 1-2-1 with Adam and learnt some rope climbing skills. Then went through bouldering and ran through the differences here. Adam was an incredible guy, really down to earth and friendly. Really patient with us and ran through any questions we had.Highly recommended place with lots of bouldering and some rope climbing walls. A nice clean and comfortable sitting area to grab a brew and cake. Loved every minute of climbing here and will be going back regularly now.

I think they do a really good job of route setting for the lower grades. A lot of other centres just make ladders for beginners but you can tell they put effort into making climbing interesting for people of all skill levels.

great climbing wall, great staff. only bad thing is the climbs aren't updated regularly enough. if you go regularly you tend to climb the same stuff a lot

Back after a lengthy hiatus due to a climbing related head injury. Nervous but Emily made me very welcome. Started very slowly warming up and traversing in the back room, then did all the level 0 green & purples. A blister on a finger of each hand and hour later, slightly sweaty and feeling just pumped enough, I stopped, feeling great and grateful to be back. Slow baby steps but what a great facility to have on our doorstep. Many thanks to everyone on the team.

I may be biased because this is my local wall, but I've been really happy with my experiences at The Climbing Station. I've visited other walls and this one might not be the prettiest, but for the sheer number of routes (and the rate they're re-set), friendliness and helpfulness of staff and punters, and the general atmosphere The Climbing Station wins hands down. It seems to me to focus less on looking fancy and more on providing great climbing.Plenty of routes for beginners too... and the inductions there are really thorough. I feel blessed that I've had a really fantastic start to my climbing career by finding The Climbing Station as my first experience.

Great local climbing centre. Primarily for bouldering but with a small rope wall too. Friendly staff and atmosphere, shop selling climbing supplies and clothing and some cafe type facilities too.
