No prior booking means a bit of a risk turning up to find an available pitch but a risk well worth taking. An incredible facility in such a beautiful location and at such a low price.

Great little high quality, simple place to camp in a motorhome or caravan right by the little harbour. Fantastic value as well.

Very nice site very popular. You do compete for slots as it is a small working harbour

Brilliant little site in a very picturesque location. Loads of walks, coastal and more inland, from here. Facilities are excellent and kept spotlessly clean. Wonderful place, very quiet and perfect for a bit of tranquility. There is a community shop within walking distance but note the opening hours shown at the site, as it is not open often or for long. Aside from this the closest shop is at Ulsta, about 4-5 miles away. There is a bus stop not far from the site for those travelling without a vehicle, but again check times carefully. At the time of writing stay rates are £7 per tent per night, and £15 per caravan/camper/motorhome per night. Excellent value given the location and facilities.Beautiful place, highly recommended for tents, camper vans and caravans. Definitely worth a stay over to see more of beautiful Yell.

Burravoe Caravan Site
This little caravan/camp site is worth more than three stars but not quite four:a beautiful little building with an upside boat for a roof! What a wonderful idea. Only the, nice, island people would think of such a practical way of recycling. I've also seen that, elsewhere, on a different isle, to keep chickens. A great idea. The Burravoe caravan site building is clean inside, nice showers, I think there were two toilets, one being for disabled. There's a nice, clean, little kitchen area with laundry facilities, microwave, etc.It was spoilt a little by the large metal box, etc, and where one collects fresh water from the tap, a little smelly. I did wonder wether the toilet effluent went directly into the sea! I truly hope not.I wasn't quite happy to pay the same price for the large caravans plus their cars parked there as I only had a small camper. There is an Honest Box there. But overall a pretty, fresh air, site. And can I say whilst we are visiting these wonderful isles for visitors to use the local shops, facilities, instead of stocking up at supermarkets first. The islanders are very nice people who work tremendously hard. Let's support them by buying locally, it's a little dearer because of ferry costs and other extras. I always buy locally.
