Ky go to kennels for my 3 dogs. Experienced, kind and observant. Even took one to the vets when needed. Good with all dogs, including our super-sized 60kg boy.

Where to start...My Auntie left two cats here in October 2019 while she went on holiday. When she came back, there was only one cat!The youngest escaped from the cattery. The staff insist the cats initially both escaped and one came back. They also insist the cats managed to scratch through wooden planks to escape. But when my auntie inspected the kennel, the wood was completely rotten rendering the entire kennel completely insecure. Her cats are mother and daughter so the eldest cat is also in ill health fretting and crying constantly for the youngest.Perhaps the most disappointing thing about it all is the response of the cattery. The proprietor was away in Spain for a week following the incident so we had to wait a week to speak to someone senior. We had very little help from the cattery in looking for Peggy apart from them telling us they’d set traps on a nearby farm more than 2 weeks after she went missing.Perhaps most shockingly is the fact the proprietor also attempted to defend the loss of the cat by stating that they had both been happy and safe in the cattery for 9 days before she went missing - like that makes up for the fact that on day 10 that cat escaped. The proprietor insists the cat “scratched and scratched and scratched,” at the kennel on day 10 until she escaped and that’s how she got out. She actually said:“I can’t be responsible for an animal going on the attack - attacking a kennel until it escapes.”In my view, this cannot possibly be the first time they’ve had a cat that would like to escape. It’s the responsibility of a cattery to make sure that the kennel can withstand any “attack,” from a cat (yes, a cat - not a lion!).So in short, I can only conclude that this cattery isn’t secure enough if cats can lead to their escape. Don’t leave your pets here.

Very helpful and friendly staff and very knowledgeable, didn't leave our dog as she had a stroke just before our holiday and had to be looked after 24 by 7 at home, one missed holiday but it's worth it to see your furry family member recover .

Our spotty Domino was very well looked after whilst he was there. Would definitely use them again. He'd even had a bath before we picked him up. The owner is very dog savvy and knowledgeable.

I've been taking my Labrador, Ted, here for 6 years now. He's always happy there and gets really excited when we start to drive up the hill to get there. They always fit us in, even if I've forgotten to book and end up calling last minuite. Nothing is ever too much trouble.

All the staff were friendly and could tell they love dogs, (our dog was cuddling them as well when we were picking him up). Very knowledgable on animals so can tell they’re looked after. Will definitely use again. Great location as well.
