The Jolly Sailors Pub Brancaster
This is an absolutely great place to come in the summer with the family. You could tell from the off it was going to be good with the sheer amount of people there. Fully booked inside and out. Food was very good, quick service. Good amount of options also. Staff were extremely friendly. Stones throw away from the beach also. Would definitely come back.

Visited the VERY beautiful Brancaster Beach before making our way to The Jolly Sailor. We're on holiday but assume the staff are not! VERY laid back approach to service. But, the Cajun Chicken pizza was one of the best ever eaten & I'm a self-confessed non pizza lover! Go figure!Mum enjoyed their scampi and fries too.Beware of icecream scam! Order from menu, don't order from 'outside'! Daft!

It's near Brancaster beach, convenient spot for a proper lunch. Food was miss & hit for us, priced above average for a pub. Pizza is good but the spicy prawn pasta was a complete let down, for £16.50 it is tasteless, with chilli oil and prawns something like supermarket frozen prawns. Whitebait starter and kids meal were average. I like the option of indoor and outdoor seating. Playground for kids at least 4-5y and above, my toddler couldn't reach anything or get up to the slide which is a shame but otherwise good atmosphere for a drink outdoors.

Dog friendly. It's worth a visit here if you can get in!! We turned up on Tuesday evening around 5.30 pm and got the last table. We were able to get the dogs in.The food was delicious and the service was so quick!!!My husband and I had a share of two pizzas, garlic bread, and margherita pizza with ham. This was cooked in a proper pizza oven as we could see into the kitchen. Affordable pizza and can order to takeaway if you can't find a seat! Two of my family members had chicken salad. One family member had fish n chips, which they all enjoyed. My husband had pigs in blankets as a starter.I had a treacle for dessert, which was so yummy. They also had a whole rum menu, which was delicious. I had a try of the Norfolk Rum with pineapple juice, which was delicious.I highly recommend this restaurant.

No faults.Everything as great as it could be right down to the singing bar staff and lavender scented hand wash. Now, I didn't go into the actual pub as the pub is pretty much outside in summer with a fully equipped bar and enough seating to accomodate the whole village.Dogs are made especially welcome with their own water bars and free biscuits (Oh to be a dog!).Service is friendly and welcoming with renditions of many oldies including 'it's raining men' and some classic Steps.I noticed they have live music and entertainment weekends in peak months including an unmissable Sea Shanty live music weekender (Nelson would be pleased).Right, for the food and beer.Excellent. Real value for money, no waiting, fresh cooked and big portions. A few specials offered each day alongside a large pizza menu and takeaway.I had a very large bowl of blue cheese tagliatelle and spinach which more than satisfied this little piggy. (£12)The 10oz Norfolk gammon, duck egg and chips would have fed a large vessel of many Jolly Sailors. (£11)A 21st century pub with 18th century charm!

Popped in for lunch and a drink with great friends and to bid farewell after a lovely few days spent together. Food was good and drinks too. What kind of pub plays tracks from 'chutes too narrow' by The Shins? Massive thumbs up for this place! Will be back for sure when in the area once more...

Went here as part of Norfolk Restaurant Week. We both had mozzarella sticks to start. Then I had chicken burger, husband had liver and bacon. Husband had Baileys cheesecake to finish. Food was delicious and we will certainly be making a7
