The food was quite satisfying. I tried the fish and chips as well as the Steak and ale pie, and they were surprisingly good for pre-made fast food options.The staff at the bar were friendly and accommodating. However, I did notice that the tables weren't as clean as I would have liked; they were a bit sticky, which was a minor downside.The atmosphere at Platform 5 didn't quite meet my expectations, hence the 3-star rating. It seemed more like a place to watch sports with a lively and noisy environment. If you're looking for a quiet spot to chat, this might not be the ideal choice.Overall, a decent spot for a quick bite, with good food and service, but it's more suited for sports enthusiasts than those seeking a relaxed dining experience.

My recent visit to Platform 5, a fantastic pub, was a delight! The food was superb. The pub's atmosphere was inviting and lively, creating a great setting to enjoy a meal. The service was exceptional - attentive and welcoming. Moreover, the drinks were fantastic and added to the overall enjoyable experience. Highly recommend for a great meal in a wonderful pub setting!

Went in for the football at the weekend and had a meal and some drinks. Food was great, highly recommend the bacon and cheese burger and the nachos for sharing. Staff were friendly and happily explained the different beer on offer as there’s a big selection. Overall great day out, will be back!

Very nice pub. Great food, cold cider and alcohol free options as well. Screens everywhere to watch football. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.

I came here 6yr ago with my mum, today I came with my aunt and sisters, waited 25 mins for food, menu doesn't start till 12 noon, drinks didn't come till food arrived..while we were sat another person arrived an hour later and was told there was a 45 min wait for food..the place wasn't even full at that point...the menu was very limited alot of stuff unavailable, mash wasn't even available as an option.

Nice place. We tried fish and chips, it was tasty. You can order local beer as well. We paid around 45 pounds for 2 fish and chips, 2 french fries and 2 beers.

As a lone lady visiting this local I was made very welcoming by the young barman. He was very professional and put me at ease. I ordered the fish and chips. The food was delivered by another friendly member of staff. Enjoyed the meal and would recommend this place even though it is mainly sport orientated.

Visited this place on a Monday night. Wasn't busy. Had to figure out that we needed to seatourselves and order at the bar. Rdeuced staff.Food was good though. Had a pick 5 of finger food, for 4 of us. My favorite was the chicken bites in Asian bbq sauce. Fried cheese, bacon wrapped sausage, and panko fish bites.
