The nurses are lovely, kind caring, compassionate I couldn’t fault the nurses. However my prescriptions keep getting rejected, I kept running out my medication and had to repeatedly ring up the day it was due to ask for emergency prescriptions as it hadn’t been sent in time, also I had emergency surgery and was sent home with just enough pain relief for 2 days and told if I needed anymore to contact my gp, I contacted the surgery and was refused any pain relief after having an emergency c section and being opened back up after a haemorrhage, even the midwife called the surgery telling them I needed pain relief. In the end I had to hike to the Rvi with my 2 day old baby while I was in sever pain so I could get pain relief that could have very easily been sent electronically to the pharmacy for me and I could have had someone collect it…. But oh no they don’t like to make things simple but I don’t get why they refused me pain relief and wanted me to suffer!

I honestly was sceptical when joining this surgery since moving to the area 2 months ago, based on the reviews I’m unsure why it’s been rated so low. My 9 year son got very ill this week. When I rang the surgery, I received nothing but politeness, someone who listened, understood my concerns and has noted every detail of my sons condition. With that in mind the surgery was busy, no available appointments for triage or telephone, however she still squeezed me in for a GP to call back. I couldn’t have thanked her enough because my son needed those antibiotics to get better, even though I had been to the walk in the same morning waiting for hours and not gotten any further. When I spoke to the GP, she listened and was very professional which made me feel alot better and my son got the right medication he needed. Everyone genuinely cared and listend to my concerns and have been so helpful.I honestly think half of the people need to learn how to speak to those receptionist and doctors. You have to treat others like you want to be treat yourself. Be more understanding, think and don’t be disrespectful when you can’t get what you need. These people work hard and it’s not their fault the NHS system is failing. I would recommend this surgery to others.

Great practice, very polite reception staff who quickly took my details and informed me that the clinician will ring back. The ANP and gp spoke to me promptly deciding that I need further tests and examination. I eventually saw Dr Jill Smith a very empathic gp who kindly listened to my story and sorted me out quickly. They also kept me uptodate with the results of my tests. I can't be thankful enough to these wonderful staff for their compassion and care especially at a time when gp services are struggling.

Was with this surgery for about 7 years and had to change because I moved. My new surgery are incredible, quick and could run circles around this GP lol. I didn’t realise how bad this surgery was until I received better care and treatment from my newer GP. The way they work is just so backwards, have had some very rude and incompetent doctors besides one or two - Dr Hanley was a fantastic GP and it’s a shame she left. Feeling grateful that I no longer have to deal with them. All of the nurses are great, though. Never had any issues with the receptionists.

This Practice is absolutely appalling. I cannot put into words how abysmal this place is. The receptionist are disgusting. I have a repeated prescription, medication I’ll be on for life and have taken for the last 10 years. The practice manager (not a doctor) has decided I cannot have this on extended repeat prescription. So I have to pay every month. But every month comes, and there is a problem. I have to ring triage. I have to wait for a doctor’s call. The doctor asks the same questions I’ve had to answer for the last 10 years. Every single month. Then the doctors fail to send my prescription! I’m baffled when the arrogant and rude receptionist tells me “it’s your responsibility to make sure your prescription is sent over.” HOW?! How can that be my job?Receptionists - Learn some compassion. Try and remember your patients are patients, not convicts or benefit scrounges. Do your job.Practice manager - all of the above problems are your fault and your responsibility. You are failing and the practice is complete inadequate and unfit for purpose. You should be ashamed.

Absolutely appalling and stressful experience. They have got no concept of customer service. Their systems don’t work and I really doubt the competencies of their doctors. Shocking way of looking after the patients. My mum was having nerve pain and they kept her on paracetamols even though we took her twice to the GP and raised concerns as her pain was elevating and going down the left arm and her fingers were getting numb. They didn’t even refer her for further investigation so as to figure out if it is a nerve pain or muscle pain. We went on for out of hours GP in A and E And the GP sent it over for further investigation. It took us a month to reach to a point of further. My mum is still in pain and cannot sleep over night. Hopefully someone is checking their quality of service

Been with this doctors surgery my whole life. Always had a bad experience.Would never in a million years take my daughter anywhere near this surgery. I didn't realise how bad it was until I checked out other surgery's. I've been insulted, chronic pain ignored by the doctors and i always a bad experience from reception staff.0 Stars from 30+ years as a patient

You'll have more success at lottery then trying to book an appointment got told to ring at 10:30 in the morning as that's when appointments open did that the lady said they opened at 10am and I rang too late saying ring at 2pm but that's only for telephone appointments. Decided to ring next day at 10am only to get told appointments are fully booked and the next one is at 2pm therefore being prepared I made sure to ring 1:55pm just in case and I was second in line took 15 minutes to get through only to be told that it's all booked up, how can that be if I was second in line when explained this she women said and I quote 'I find that hard to believe' how is this ok she offered me alternative appointments which are not possible to attend but the simple fact of being treated so disrespectfully is a joke

Terrible doctors.. this doctors have left my permanently disabled from there neglect. Even though I was there every 2 week for a year and a half, and told my parents I was trying to get time off.The reception staff are unprofessional and have people behind the counter when there not supposed too. Receptionist Barbara insults patients and should not be dealing with vulnerable people.Avoid this doctors.Terrible clueless doctors surgery. Openly use Google to diagnosis you.In one case i had a call cut sort. read a word for word description from Wikipedia. They will loose your records to protect there back.Took 8 months to be seen face to face. Only for them to pull me off all medication that I have been on for 7 years cause its dangerous to be on long term.Doctors don't stay long because they can see how unprofessional and condescending attitude that a majority of the staff have.

I am so disappointed and upset by the service you receive from the reception staff and Fawdon.. I have been a patient at this surgery for over 30 years. The doctors are fantastic Dr Smith, Dr Hanley and Ruth are very caring and so helpful. The reception staff at Fawdon have an abrupt and rude manner and show no empathy at all. I feel they need a customer care course as a matter of urgency. I received a totally different experience at the Kingston Park surgery. The reception staff actually care and will do the best they can to assist you.I am sorry for the negative review , I can say I only stay with the practice because of the Doctors.
