If i could give no stars i would.They give the worst care, if you or your child are ever referred here contact your GP to change. They do not care about your wellbeing.A small trigger warning here.But i struggle with bad mental health, with intrusive thoughts about harm and other things and they tell me “oh, ill speak to you in 2 months time” So for 2 months each time I'm left with no help.For roughly 3 years now i’ve been begging for them to refer me to somewhere for extra help with my BPD and Autism and they’ve done NOTHING about this.I’ve also been waiting well over a MONTH for my medication to be released. So im constantly withdrawing from my medication and getting used to it again.They do not have a duty of care, they do not listen to me in our meetings and write down incorrect information to my GP about stuff i’ve never said.I’ve been told there are nurses i could talk to there, i asked for the information to do so and they wouldn't give it me.I’ve reported this place and complained about them many times and i still don't get the care i need.Please with all costs and for your health AVOID going to the OAKLANDS CENTRE.

They're so bad they will write things on there notes and will not tell you what they will not communicate with you or family in fact they will blame the family for everything you will not get medication fast at all if u have a chance personally wouldn't go I had no chance and couldn't leave I was forced to stay there. Best way to make someone never want to open up again. I just lied about everything to get out

My daughter has received no meds for over a year doctors don't care staff can be rude feel forgotten

I am tired of this service. I have been a patient here for about 2 years now, and in the last year they have failed me countless times with my prescription.The first time it happened a few months ago, I called a week in advance for a prescription (which they advise) and a week later when I was out of medication they hadn't even processed it yet. I had to get an emergency prescription from my GP. This has happened not once but 4 times now in a row. The most recent time I've asked for a prescription, I had 2 weeks worth of medication and called 2 weeks in advance to get it sorted. I called a week later to see if it was ready and it still wasn't ready but I was told it would be ready for pick up on Monday as I told them it was urgent as my medication would run out then. This is time critical medication, if I am off this medication my mood can take a down turn easily. Rang up on Monday was told it was ready, but when I went to pick it up it wasn't ready. So now I am without medication and have no way of getting it. Oaklands has negatively affected my mental health more than it has helped me. This is ridiculous and I'm done with this service.

Let down by the nhs.Sufferer of mental illness and when they prescribed chemicals as opposed to talking therapy it left me with major side effects. They claimed it was nothing to do with the strong medication they put me on which we found out later, it was.It also cost me the greatest job I will ever have.

Was diagnosed with a personality back in april by a psychiatrist.since I have been issued multiple medication reviews because I have to phone multiple individuals just to ensure my medication is correct.They have arranged appointments in person which I have no knowledge of or way of getting there.It is really hard to get a hold of the drs over the phone or get through to the duty nurse .I've unfortunately had to come to the point where I am considering coming off all my meds because of the inconsistency of it and  the long periods without it resulting in rapid decilines and highs of my mental health.Which isn't good for my lifestyle as I am a fulltime students and cant sacrifice time off or to phone multiple people just to ensure I get my emergency medication.

Zero star. Antidepressants issued to 12 year old this is ok as child suicidal. However confirmed 4th July child still feels suicidal but at that time no active plan. Now over 3 months later, October 11th with child's desire to end life. Oaklands Centre have still not made an effort to change medication since crisis call 27th September. How is this possible?

Very mixed feelings about this service.A good thing is that SOME staff are very nice and actually care.HOWEVER, this service MUST improve... I have heard a lot of negative opinions but here are my experiences:- I was always told to ring them in crisis and I did. I was very unwell and asked if I can speak to someone, the person on the phone sighted and said ''can I get someone else to ring you?'' and I informed them that I am feeling suicidal to which he said ''well, if you're feeling so unwell and unsafe, why don't you just take yourself to A&E?'' in a rather sarcastic tone. I told him that this comment made me feel even worse and he informed me that he's ''been answering the phone all day''. If you are working in this field, regardless of how tired and busy you are, your service users should be a priority and if you cannot handle it - work less hours and don't take your frustration on service users!- Appointments without letting you know about them. I found out by accident about an appointment which was taking place in less than 24h from a member of the home treatment... No phone call, no letter, not even a text from FTB informing me about the appointment! They knew I work full-time and need to know about appointments in advance so I can take time off. I asked if there is any possibility of doing it another day (as the appointment was literally the next day!) and they said there is no other availability... Surely if you're appointments are so precious and limited, you would like your patients to be aware of them?Forward Thinking - you really need to do something about your service. Young people are crying for help and having a professional, empathetic staff with basic organisation skills would be the first step.

DO Not go to this place!!! They left my partner on meds she was only meant to be on for two years ITS BEEN 4 YEARS! And it’s damaged her heart permanently she was meant to have her heart checked every 6 months ! NOTHING NO SUPPORT NO HEART SCANS NOTHING NO SUPPORT! For the safety of ur children or friends or families or partners well-being DO NOT GO HERE! Mental health Team is a failure do not care about their referrals or patients !!!!
